Back Exercises With Dumbbells & Free Weights | Back Workouts With Dumbbells
Why are dumbbell exercises for back so effective? Dumbbells can provide an excellent Back Workout. All you need is some free space and these back exercises will build solid muscle mass. Build a workout that works at home or away. Dumbbell shave a distinct advantage over barbells as we have seen in the Dumbbell Exercises and Workouts Section. Although the amount of weight is less than barbell use, dumbbells force muscle for more co-ordination from each side. Not to mention the versatility of their use. Nothing compares to a simple pair of dumbbells. When buying dumbbells for at home exercises always make sure that they are adjustable. It means that it should be possible to add or remove weight plates as you will need progressive resistance to build your muscles.

An excellent exercise that you can add is Chin Ups. If these become easy then do assisted chin ups or hold a dumbbell in between your crossed legs and perform chin ups for additional resistance.
In creating your Back Workout you should hit all the three muscle groups. Workout # 1 Chin Ups - 3 sets to failure Bent Over Dumbbell Rows - 3 sets of 10,8 and 6 reps Dumbbell Deadlifts - 3 sets of 10,8 and 6 reps Dumbbell Pullovers - 3 sets of 10,8 and 6 reps Dumbbell Shrugs - 3 sets of 10,8 and 6 reps
Chin Ups- 3 sets to failure One arm dumbbell rows - 3 sets of 10,8 and 6 reps Dumbbell Deadlifts - 3 sets of 10,8 and 6 reps Dumbbell Pullovers - 3 sets of 10,8 and 6 reps Dumbbell Shrugs - 3 sets of 10,8 and 6 reps Additionally you can add Hyperextensions to your back workout. They can be done on a bench without additional resistance.
